Racist attack at Kurdish students in Gazi University 2015-06-02 22:07:40 ANKARA (DİHA) - A racist mob of ultra-nationalist Turks - ulkucu in Turkish - attacked at Kurdish students at Communication of Faculty of Gazi University in the capital city of Ankara. The racist group attacked with sticks, knives and blades and most of the Kurdish students were severely beaten. The racist mob attemped to lynch 10 Kurdish students in the canteen of the faculty. One member of the racist group was wounded critically in the fight. The Kurdish informed police for the attack, but police came to the faculty half and three hours later, the students told DİHA. The racists announced their attack via social media. One of Kurdish students tried to came faculty with his car to save his friends. The group tried to attack him, but one member of the racist group was hit by the car. He was taken to hospital as the tension remained high. Four women students were disastrously battered by the racist group. Nose of one of the women students was broken. The women students were hospitalized. Turkish police interfered to DİHA reporters and denied their entry for a while. (nt)
