Police terrorize in raids: Numerous youths in custody

ŞIRNAK (DİHA) - Turkish police organized house raids with armd and armoured vehicles in Silopi district late evening, taking numerous youths into custody.

Special operationst teams and Turkish police organized house raids with armd and armoured vehicles in Zap, Şehit Harun, Herekol, Feraşin and Zagros neighbourhoods of Silopi district, eastern province of Şırnak late evening. 

Turkish police broke the doors of lots of houses with scorpion type armoured vehicle in the armed raids. The raids and searches continued till the morning hours. Police opened fire into the air during the raids.

Numerous youths in custody

Upon the fire of police, the locals took streets at late hours and protested the raids. Numerous of youths and children have been taken into custody by police and taken to district police headquarters. 

Some of the detainees are as follows: Mahsum Kaplan (25), Alikar Tanırğan (25), Mehmet Aşur (43), Yunus Kol (25), Aytaç Yalman (22), M.T. (17), A.T. (17), C.T. (15), S.Y. (17), Musa Tayşun (24), Mehmet Ürün (18), Nihat Ulaş (19), Haci Bakşi (18), Fırat Levent, Hekim Tün and Kadir Türbe.

Police fire gun in kid's room

One of the residents, Mehmet Şeviş Şevişoğlu, told the police terror, "I was at the upstairs. When I heard the voice, I lowered down to dowstairs. But, police had already broke to the doors. Police fire gun in the kid's room. They collected the bullets and left my house".
