Body of 2 YPG fighters brought to Urfa

URFA (DİHA) - Bodies of YPG fighters Mustafa Tunç (Jêhat Teyî) and Ahmet Yılmaz (Rêber Devî) were brought to Suruç district.

Bodies of YPG (People's Protection Units) fighters Mustafa Tunç (Jêhat Teyî) and Ahmet Yılmaz (Rêber Devî) were met by the families and a crowd of people at the border and brought to Suruç district. YPG fighters Tunç and Yılmaz lost his life in a clash with Daesh gangs at Kobanê city center on May 25th.

The families and members of MEYA-DER, an organization for solidarity with those lost in war in Mesopotamia, took the bodies at Mürşitpınar Border Gate. A crowd of people met the funerals in front of Suruç State Hospital with the slogans of "Martyrs don't die", "Long live resistance of YPG/YPJ" and "Long live Leader Apo".

Urfa Governorate had denied the entry of funeral along Wednesday. After HDP and DBP officials met with state officials, the funerals were brought to Turkey.

After autopsy at the Urfa Forensic Medical Institute, body of YPG fighter Tunç will be brought to Silopi district of Şırnak and body of Yılmaz to Hakkari to be laid to rest there.
