Bodies of 4 YPG/YPJ fighters brought to Diyarbakır

DİYARBAKIR (DİHA) - Bodies of 4 YPG fighters have been taken at Mardin Şenyurt Border Gate and brought to Diyarbakır for autopsy.

Bodies of YPG/YPJ fighters Bedrettin Akdemir (Ekin İnce Memet), Nabi Akman (Hasan Sabbah), Hacire Kurt (Newal Farqin) and Seram Altunkılıç (Seran Anatolya) were met by a crowd of people at the border and brought to the main Kurdish city of Diyarbakır.

YPG fighters lost their lives during cleansing operations against Daesh gangs in Mebruska town in Cizîrê Canton of West Kurdistan on May 26th.

Families and members of MEYA-DER, an organization for solidarity with those lost in war in Mesopotamia, DBP (Democratic Regions Party) co-mayors and HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) Mardin deputy candidates and officials came to Şenyurt Border Gate and received the bodies.

A massive crowd met the bodies and carried flags of YPG, and YPJ in front of the hospital in the district. The locals shouted the slogans of "Martyrs never die", "Long live YPG/YPJ resistance" and "Long live President Apo".

The families and MEYADER officials brought the bodies to the main Kurdish city of Diyarbakır for autopsy.

After autopsy procedures at the Diyarbakır Forensic Medical Institution, the bodies of YPG/YPJ fighters will be laid to rest in their homelands.
