ERZURUM (DİHA) - Justice and Development Party (AKP) Erzurum Deputy and former Health Minister Recep Akdağ visited the shopkeepers in Yakutiye district of eastern province of Erzurum within his election campaign.

During the visitation, the guards of Akdağ reportedly battered and threatened Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Provincal Co-chair Bilal Yaprak. Also a shopkeeper, Yaprak denied AKP officials to enter his shop.

But, he was attacked by the guards of AKP officials. Yaprak told the incident, "Recep Akdağ and his entourage tried to enter my workplace. I said them that my workplace was closed. I did not want to handshake with them. Then, Akdağ responded, 'Let your workplace closed to hell, but we will not leave unpunished, we'll meet you!'. He instructed his guards to close me."

Yaprak added that when the locals came, the AKP officials left his shop.
