HDP driver tortured and executed by firing squad
BİNGÖL(DİHA) - Election vehicle of the HDP was targeted by an armed attack in Bingöl which left the driver, Hamdullah Öğe, dead last night. According to reports, Öğe was dropped off from the vehicle, tortured and then executed by firing squad.
An election vehicle of the HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) was targeted by an armed attack in Bingöl which left the driver, Hamdullah Öğe, dead last night. The attack with long barreled gun targeted HDP vehicle on its way from Serpmekaya village in Karlıova district of Bingöl late Wednesday evening. On hearing the gunshots, villagers informed the HDP executives and soldiers about the incident. The soldiers that came to the scene soon later started an investigation in the area.
Lots of bullets hit the windscreen of the vehicle. There has been found no blood in the vehicle. There are also brokens in his body. According to details and reports, Öğe was dropped off from the vehicle, tortured and then executed by firing squad.
The body of the vehicle's driver, Hamdullah Öğe, was found in the rocky terrain 50 meters from the scene where a number of HDP executives and members, including Bingöl MP candidates, also arrived.
Eye witnesses also confirmed the reports of firing squad and torture. The body of Öğe was taken to Karlıova Public Hospital morgue. Numerous of police were also deployed to the hospital. The body was later sent to Erzurum Forensic Medicine Institution for autopsy.
